The Donkey Farm

The Donkey Farm is open to the public year round as a facility dedicated to educating all comers
to the joys and special attributes of these wonderful long eared animals.
The farm is home to approximately 100 registered animals that together make up the herd known
as Pekard Miniature Donkeys, owned by Dr. Peter Lemiski and Ms.Karen Pollard.
Visitors are welcomed into the herd to mingle up close and personal with the donkeys, where our
staff is always ready to answer questions and explain about the on going research being done with
the herd, to aid in better breeding and care management practices, for the estimated 40 million donkeys

Silver Fox Equine is a multi-discipline barn boasting 19 stalls, 2 outdoor sand rings, a large indoor arena, 100 acres for hacking and a schooling cross country course. Certified coaches specialize in the disciplines of Dressage and Eventing.
Silver Fox Equine focuses on their unique Stirrup Program. The Green Stirrup (riders 5-16 yrs), Gold Stirrup (show team), Rusty Stirrup (35-50) and Silver Stirrup (50+)  programs allow riders to forge great friendships with other riders with the same objective; as well as providing instruction and goals to work towards OEF riders levels and competition.

Traditions Farm Therapeutic Riding Centre

Traditions Farm Therapeutic Riding Centre is committed to developing the full potential in individuals with disabilities. Therapeutic riding which includes all horse-related activities, can help to improve our client’s physical, mental and emotional well-being Traditions Farm is the only ‘Western’ oriented therapeutic riding centre. This allows for a diversity of innovative activities including the use of lariats and barrels for skill development and fun.

Located on a 50 acre organic farm property, our centre offers an inside arena designed for individualized one-on-one sessions, an outdoor round pen and a Spanish style piccadero for working with clients.

During the day we will be providing therapeutic riding and equine assisted learning demonstrations. For a small donation, visitors will be able to paint their handprint on a horse.  Enjoy $2 hamburgers at our BBQ which will run from 12-2 and watch the horses play.  See where the magic happens!
