Inn on the Moraine
Testimonials
“We had a wonderful stay. Your B&B had many conveniences that are too numerous to mention. The companionship, food, attentiveness, generosity, caring and thoughtfulness was second to none. The setting and greeting made us feel comfortable right away. The conversation was very nice, enjoyable, fun and appreciated. Thank you again for a lovely stay, we would recommend your place to anyone and everyone.”
Joe & Linda M, Dunnville, Ontario, April 2013
“Thank you for a lovely stay at your home. We feel very comfortable at your place. Give a pat to Lacey from me, and a big hug to both of you.”
Loretta L., Frankfurt, Germany, Sept. 2012
“Starting at the Top”. My out of town relatives had the pleasure of staying at the Inn on the Moraine for two days while attending my daughter’s wedding in Caledon. The warmth of the “Inn” was evident from the time they walked in the door. Stan and Diane, are caring remarkable hosts, making everyone feel right at home. The unique character of the home and the gorgeous rooms made their stay truly exceptional. All six of my relatives had never tasted a more delicious home cooked breakfast, the variety was amazing. Although the group had never stayed at a B&B before, they all commented, that they were starting at the top!
Karen W., Caledon, Ontario, Sept. 2012
“We certainly look forward to more wonderful stays with you, it really made our time at the Championship great! Take care and we have highly recommended your location to the folks at the show for next year!”
Kathleen B. Paris, Ontario, Sept. 2012
“Great B&B and Wonderful Hosts!! Dianne, Stan and Lacey (the Dog) were the best hosts. We had the pleasure to stay at Inn on the Moraine in August 2012, so we could attend my son’s Wedding reception in Caledon East. We felt like it was home away from home & treated like family. The B&B is beautiful, and the breakfast was excellent. We will be back again for sure and tell anyone who is visiting the area that it is the place to stay. I can only imagine how beautiful it would be for a fall getaway, when the leaves turn colour. Thanks again for your hospitality. ”

“Our experience at your place was Fantastic and we felt as if we owned the place.”

“The best B&B to stay in while attending the Caledon Equestrian Park”. My daughter and I attended a 5-day horse show at the Caledon Equestrian Park and stayed at Inn on the Moraine. The serenity of the gardens was just beautiful and very welcoming as we drove down the driveway. The moment I walked in the door upon check in, I was impressed with the gorgeous home and the cleanliness of the entire Inn. I can’t thank Diane and Stan enough for their hospitality. We felt very safe and welcome and even managed to squeeze in a movie in the beautiful lounge. Our days were longer than long and we were drop dead exhausted upon our return to the Inn. Not to mention dirty. After a quick shower we would fall into the very comfortable bed in our large room with walk-in closet. There was room for all of our regular clothes and our show clothes. I was very happy. The next morning our breakfast would be packed and waiting for us in the kitchen by the door. (Show mornings are very, very early). The best was the third morning where our day started much later and my daughter and I enjoyed the absolute best breakfast of peameal bacon, farm fresh eggs cooked to perfection, coconut toast, fresh preserves and more – all on the beautiful back deck in the airy gazebo. We never wanted to leave. I can’t wait for next year and am planning on staying at the Inn on the Moraine as often as possible. Thank you Diane and Stan.”

“A magical place”. From the moment we arrived, Diane and Stan made sure we felt welcome and at ease. They are wonderful hosts. The special touches really show how much they care about their guests. We loved breakfast in the gazebo and Lacey’s (the dog) pleasant and quiet presence. The Inn on the Moraine is nestled in a beautiful natural landscape with a magic on its own that is well worth a visit. We’ll be back.”

“Very nice B&B” My wife and I stayed at the Inn on the Moraine for a weekend in late June while attending a wedding at the nearby Royal Ambassador Banquet Center. Very relaxing stay, comfortable bed, and a nice breakfast atmosphere outside on the patio. The shared bathroom was a bit of an inconvenience but that is the only negative aspect we could find. We definitely recommend the Inn on the Moraine.”

“Great place, great people”. What a lovely place to stay! Part century log house with decor to match. I was greeted by a canine welcoming committee who later kept me company while I read my book in the screened in porch. I was in the area to work at a Horse Show, so no vacation for me, but it was less than 10 minutes from the showgrounds so no distance for a tired body at the end of the day. A bonus was visiting with my hosts for a chat and a beer! Set in a beautiful wooded site the old house has been lovingly maintained and the addition designed to match. The bed was very comfortable, the breakfast just what I needed to set me up for the day and lots of hot water to wash away the dust from the showgrounds. I hope I am invited back to the show, so I can stay in this very hospitable B&B again. I feel as though I have made 2 new friends. ”
Geri S, Oakbank, Manitoba June 2012
“Home from Home”. We were recommended to the Inn by a friend and we were delighted with it. The house is partly century log house set in beautifully tranquil grounds very tastefully furnished. Diane and Stan are excellent hosts and Lacey the family pet is very welcoming too. The bedroom is bright and roomy with a very comfortable bed. The lounge area, just outside the bedroom is very comfortable and quiet. The food was plentiful and delicious. Very clean and comfortable. We will definitely go back if we are in that area in the future.

“A Picture Perfect Weekend. What a spectacular view!!! Breathtaking grounds!!! You will enjoy the solitude of the area if you are looking for a quiet, peaceful surroundings. The decor in the Inn is very suitable to the landscape, tranquil. Even though we were attending a business meeting held at the Inn the proprietors Stan and Diane were the perfect hosts as well as their beautiful dog. We were greeted on Friday evening with a warm welcome, wonderful conversation to make us feel right at home and when we left Sunday morning we felt like we were leaving family behind. We were not disappointed in any way with our weekend and we too would like to thank you for choosing to share your home with the rest of us who enjoy Bed and Breakfast experience over a motel. Hopefully you will enjoy your stay with us as well in the Dominican.”

“Much more than an inn – it’s actually an ‘out’ (from the rat race, I mean). You know you’ve discovered a special place. It starts with the first sighting of the magnificent grounds – the pond, the statuettes, as you drive along the tree-lined road. And it continues as you discover the welcoming environment of the Inn on the Moraine. Elegant details and spectacular views from every vantage point, amid ten acres of natural and protected marshland. The accommodations and the grounds are appointed with every possible comfort – and the most hospitable hosts you could ever hope to meet. “I want my guests to experience the same beauty, serenity and peaceful surroundings that I get to enjoy every day,” says Diane Tolstoy, Keeper of the Inn. And we did! Congratulations Diane and Stan – and thank you. We will be back!”

“Whitney and I really enjoyed our stay at your B&B during the Trillium championships. Wished we had more time to enjoy your lovely gardens and property, what a lovely location! The proximity to Palgrave is ideal.
Lesley and Whitney M., London, Ontario Sept 2011
“We recently had the pleasure of spending a few days at the Inn on the Moraine. It is a tranquil, peaceful breath of fresh air. Just a short drive from the hustle and bustle of the busy city, this lovingly tamed piece of nature is home to many birds and other animals. An adventurous walk through the mystical forest was a treat for both the kids and adults. The mature trees offer shade and are home to the many varieties of birds. We spent much of our time at the pond where the kids played in the sand and did some frog hunting. I personally preferred reading my book in this calm, relaxing environment. In the evening we enjoyed the multitude of stars and a clear view of the full moon. S’mores and spider dogs were enjoyed at the mesmerising bonfire which was a great end to a terrific day of great food, fabulous grounds, beautiful gardens and entertaining stories from our hosts, Stan and Diane. This is a must see step into nature with the comforts of home.”
The Shipston Family, Aliston, Ontario, Canada August 2011
“Thanks for a much needed relaxing stay. We really appreciate your warm hospitality and breakfast was beyond our expectations!”

“We had the pleasure of staying at the Inn on the Moraine from June 25 to June 29, 2011.The first thing that took my breath away is the location of the Bed and Breakfast. It has so much to offer, beautiful flowers and many places where you can sit and enjoy nature. I do not usually sleep well while away, this time was different. The quality of the bed sheets, pillows and mattress made my sleeping experience beyond any of my expectation. I woke up feeling refreshed and ready to challenge the day. The decor of the room is absolutely beautiful, and had many personal touches, chocolates on the side table, fresh flowers, two water decanters on the desk. Diane and Stan are so welcoming, they are both extremely good cooks. You are definitely in for a treat with the large selection on the breakfast menu. This is a top quality bed and breakfast. I would not hesitate to recommend it to my friends and family.
Peter and Geneviève B., Ottawa, Canada June 2011
“I just want to say thank you for a lovely time, even though it was too short but it felt good & relaxing. Hope that we can make up again soon. Thank you again”.
Mary & Noe D., Toronto, Canada June 2011
“I also would like to thank you for the beautiful stay at your place. I would never forget your amazing piece of paradise. I was one of the first guests at the Inn on the Moraine – a relaxing paradise oasis, hidden in the Bolton forests just 45 min drive from Toronto. I enjoyed the beauty of the Canadian nature and had a unforgettable sleep in the camper van and watched the sun rise and wild animals. It’s a perfect place to switch off from our busy days and life.”
Zdenek Rejl, Prague, Czech Republic May 2011
“In preparation for our Wedding in Toronto (Brampton) on July 6 2010, we decided to stay at a lovely Inn located in Caledon, Ont. The picturesque property just neighbouring Brampton made our stay at the Inn on the Moraine so relaxing and at ease. Our stay was wonderful and quiet and intimate. Also because of the size of the acreage we where able to accommodate for a private dinner with family and friends. All in all, during our whole stay we where able to enjoy the quiet luxuries of our surroundings and use the grounds for many beautiful wedding photos”.
