CVC is a progressive conservation authority and considered to be one of the leaders in watershed management. CVC staff members have played key roles in many important initiatives, including two provincial pilot projects: Lessons Learned and Best Practices in Watershed Planning and Framework for Local Water-Use Decision-Making on a Watershed Basis. Staff have also provided extensive technical input into Conservation Ontario’s report to the Walkerton Inquiry about source protection on a watershed basis and to the provincial committee responding to the recommendations that came out of the Inquiry.
