SPCA: ANIMAL CARE HELP
Ontario SPCA Orangeville and District Branch - January 2, 2009

We are always in urgent need of Volunteers to assist with animal care in the shelter. Help in this area is needed every day of the week (so you can select which day works for you), although at the moment the need is greatest on Monday and Friday mornings. Anyone interested will be asked to begin at 8:00 or 9:00 am latest on the scheduled morning, because animal care involves not only cleaning the cages, but feeding and watering the animals as well (which is why it must be done mornings). Animal care is the heart and soul of the shelter, and volunteers who help in this capacity are extremely appreciated and loved.  You must be 16 years of age or older to volunteer in this position.  If interested please drop by the shelter on Riddell Road and fill out a volunteer application or go online at http://www.orangeville.ontariospca.ca/4-volunteer.shtml and fill in the volunteer application online.  You can also contact Joanne Scott the Volunteer Coordinator at 519-942-3140.

SPCA: FUNDRAISING & EVENT VOLUNTEERS
Ontario SPCA Orangeville and District Branch - February 17, 2009

We have several annual fundraising events throughout the year, and we're constantly in need of volunteer help with these events. There is always a lot of prep work involved. Phone calls must be made and flyers must be distributed etc., and volunteer help is always required at the event itself. Naturally, in order for the event to be successful, the volunteers must be totally reliable and dependable. Some of our annual events include the Fore the Animals Golf Tournament, the Spring Garden Lunch & Silent Auction, the Ontario SPCA Friends for Life! Walk-a-Thon and Pet Portraits with Santa to name a few.

Please go on our website at http://www.orangevillespca.ca/ and fill out an application form or call Joanne Scott, Volunteer Coordinator at 519-942-3140 for further information.
