Located on Second Street, just behind the Town Hall Opera House, the Market will feature free weekly draws, live performances, and of course fresh produce, meats, cheeses, flowers and home-baked goods.

Ready, Set, Grow at the Market on Broadway

From May 8th to October 23rd downtown Orangeville comes alive with the smells and sounds of summer at the annual Market on Broadway, Orangeville's Farmers' Market. Located on Second Street, just behind the Town Hall Opera House, the Market on Broadway opens every Saturday at 8am until 1pm and features fresh produce, fruits, locally raised meats, flowers, home baked goods, artisanal crafts and live music to enhance your shopping experience.

In Motion team from Orangeville's Park and Recreation Department will be in Alexandra Park every Saturday from 10am to 1pm providing weekly themed crafts in the Gazebo and physical activities in the park, promoting exercise and good healthy participation for your children while you shop the vendors of the Market.

Opening Day Ceremonies include our traditional Free Pancake Breakfast hosted by Orangeville Insurance with local Councillors serving fresh made pancakes from 8am to 11pm, topped with local maple syrup. The Official Opening ceremony starts at 11am with our local War Veterans marching in full regalia from the Orangeville Legion; Rebecca Reeves singing our National Anthem; Betty Kading, Orangeville's Official Town Crier in attendance with Mayor Adams and MPP David Tilson, MP Sylvia Jones and other local dignitaries cutting the ribbon.

Visit our Petting Zoo, get your children's face painted by Turquoise Tiger, and be sure to see the display of antique farming equipment by High Country Antique Power Club set-up next to the Gazebo in Alexandra Park. Free fun for the entire family. Local magician Keith Hunter will be sure to intrigue with his "Touch of Magic", Paul Repka will charm with his banjo and what would the market be without Paul Donoahue the "Omni chord Fundraiser Man" who joined the market in 2001 and is sure to tell you stories of his music and experiences at the market.

The Merchants & Businesses of Downtown Orangeville invite you to join in the enchantment and fun of the Market on Broadway opening day and hope that you revisit throughout the season each Saturday morning. Make a day of it and visit the shops you pass along the way!
