Historic Downtown Orangeville is 80 kms north west of Toronto. We're at the intersection of provincial Highways 10, 9 and 24. Travel north on highway 10 to highway 9 west which turns into Broadway.
On Friday July 9th and Saturday July 10th, the downtown streets of Orangeville will be, once again, filled with the sights and sounds of Founder’s Fair. This two day family event celebrates the founding of our town and is sure to please both young and old alike.
Shop to your hearts delight at any of our downtown stores and find real bargains at the sidewalk sales – you’ll be thrilled at the variety and quality downtown shopping has to offer.
On Friday evening, Orangeville’s Town Crier Betty Kading will officially open Founder’s Fair followed by A Different Spin who will perform a dazzling acrobatic fire show. The Campfire Poets will rock the night away on the Silverbrook Homes/MacMaster Pontiac Buick Main Stage.
On Saturday, come down and listen to the sounds of Riddim Forward and The Mainlanders. Be amazed by the magic of Mysterion as he captivates all with the impossibility of his amazing talent. Come and join Jerry Tallon, International Children’s Recording Artist for a fun-filled, action-packed interactive musical concert with dances, sing-a-longs, and opportunities for the kids to try musical and percussion instruments. Catch Orangeville’s Rising Stars and various dance troops as they perform throughout the two days of Founder’s Fair.
Candy Cannon!
Not to be missed and new to Founder’s Fair this year is a real 19th century canon launches pieces of candy over fifty feet into the air! Children of all ages will have the opportunity to scavenge for candy as it rains down on them.
Rock Climbing, Paint Ball and Fun Rides for All
Try your agility on our Rock Climbing wall, test your aim in the Paint Ball tent, learn how to juggle. Pony rides, petting zoo, midway rides, and much more will keep all ages entertained throughout the two day event. When you get a little tired and hungry grab a snack on the go from one of the vendors, or sit down and relax at any of downtown’s fabulous eateries.
Saturday Night Street Dance
On Saturday evening, Eric Rock will once again be hosting the Saturday Night Street Dance on the Main Stage. Tim McIntosh and others will entertain all with their musical talent. And of course, don’t miss the closing of Founder’s Fair when A Different Spin will once again astonish the crowd with their fire show.
