Get ready to swing at the 7th Annual
Orangeville Blues & Jazz Festival June 4th to 7th
The Town is hopping and the stage is being set for a fabulous weekend of blues and jazz in historic downtown Orangeville, in the heart of the Hills of Headwaters.
Come and be entertained by over 80 acts performing on stages in downtown Orangeville and surrounding areas, providing visitors and residents with some of the finest blues and jazz from across Canada and around the world!
7th Annual Orangeville Blues & Jazz Festival is Bigger than Ever!
As always, the Blues & Jazz main stage in Alexandra Park (behind Town Hall) will feature free concerts on Saturday and Sunday. The TD Canada Trust Acoustic Tent will showcase the quieter side of blues and jazz music, and on Friday night, visitors can enjoy our first annual Blues Cruise, featuring hundreds of classic cars lining the roadway and bands performing along Broadway, Ontario’s widest street!

Grand Opening Gala – Thursday, June 4th – 6:30pm
The weekend festivities kick off with a bang at our Thursday night Grand Opening Gala, featuring saxophonist, percussionist and composer Chris Nicholl beginning at 6:30 pm. Later in the evening, audiences will be wowed by internationally acclaimed musician (and Festival favourite) Alan Gerber, whose amalgamation of boogie-woogie, stunning vocal interpretations and fine musicianship will set the tone for the rest of the weekend! Rounding out the evening will be one of Canada’s top blues musicians, Steve Strongman, whose searing, blues soaked guitar and warm, soulful vocal harmonies evoke the emotion, maturity and authenticity of classic blues themes.
Other guest musicians will also be showing up throughout the evening, so be sure to take part in this great evening of blues & jazz at the Best Western Orangeville Inn & Suites.

Friday Night Blues Cruise
Classic cars and classic blues & jazz seem to go hand in hand, and this year the Blues & Jazz Festival is pleased to introduce our Dairy Queen Blues Cruise on Friday evening from 5pm to 10pm. Stroll along Broadway, Ontario’s widest street, check out the hundreds of classic cars lining the roadway and take in performances by eight live bands performing on the street!
Audiences will enjoy great live performances by Danny Marks, the Paul James Band, Daddy Long Legs, the Son Roberts Band, Bradley and the Bouncers, TJ Whitelaw, as well as the ODSS Teachers’ Band and the Orangeville Community Concert Band.
Stroll along Broadway, enjoy dinner at one of the many award-winning restaurants, take in the unique shops and galleries, and experience great live music and classic cars, under the stars at the Friday Night Blues Cruise, presented by the Orangeville Road Hazards Car Club.

International Artists, Canadian Artists and Local Talent Share the Stage
Some of the best blues & jazz talent in the world are showcased each year at the Orangeville Blues & Jazz Festival.
Making their Canadian debut, the Orangeville Blues & Jazz Festival is pleased to present Grace Kelly, a 16-year old jazz sax/singer/composer from Boston; country blues national steel guitar sensations Joe & Vicki Price from Iowa; Danish Blues musician of the year, Tim Lothan; and Swedish blues mandolin player Bert Delvert!
Kelly Lee Evans will showcase soulful urban-jazz vocals; Blackburn, Son Aché, Charles Wilson, Brilliant Joe, Matt York, Fathead and Monkey Junk will also perform on the main stage; PJ Perry, one of the finest alto sax players in North America will provide no nonsense, straight ahead bop in the tradition of Charlie Parker; the quieter side of blues and jazz will find a home in our TD Canada Trust Acoustic tent, featuring performances by Montreal’s Michal Jerome Brown, Brian Blain, Sam Turton, Little G Weevil, and the Humber College Jazz Quintet. Local talent is also showcased during the Festival, and audiences will delight in performances by Heather Katz, Ryan Grist, and the award-winning blues band Trouble & Strife.

Music in the Clubs & around Town!
The sounds of blues and jazz will be everywhere in and around town during the course of the weekend! Live music will be played in area stores, arts centres, coffee shops, cafes, restaurants, bars, golf courses, inns and even on the train!
Take advantage of the opportunity to hear great music in these unique and intimate settings. Juno award winner Jack Keyzer will be at TJs Hangar, Treasa Levasseur will perform at Broadway Music, Thunder Bay’s Tracy K will perform at Greystone’s Inn, TJ Whitelaw will perform at the newly restored historic Alton Mill, the George Grossman Duo will perform on the Credit Valley Explorer Tour Train and Fathead will be performing at David’s Restaurant in Erin.

Workshops, street performances, shopping, dining & more!
There’s so much more happening at the Festival over the course of the weekend.
Orangeville Public Library will be hosting a series of weekend workshops and acoustic performances, including mandolin, drum, guitar workshops; a crowd favourite beer garden will be available in Alexandra Park; on Saturday the Market on Broadway will feature fabulous local produce, fruits, meats, baked goods and crafts; a children’s area will keep youngsters entertained; and local restaurants and cafes will offer up award-winning food throughout the weekend.
