Goslings in the Hills of Headwaters

Join the Bustle that is Spring in the Hills of Headwaters!

Spring is a time of feverish activity in the region. Birders have taken to the marshland and forests in search of elusive treasure. Locally grown food is now available to pick direct from the field or at farmers’ markets. Music resonates as festival season begins. Bicyclists are once again tackling our hills, side roads and conservation areas.

Our trails and golf greens are prepped for an abundance of foot traffic as are the local shops. Explore, work up an appetite and stay the night!
You’ll have earned it!

The Headwaters Golf Trail

Free Golf -- Back By Popular Demand!
Passport to Great Golf: The Headwaters Golf Trail

  • Caledon Country Club
  • Glen Eagle Golf Course
  • Hockley Valley Resort
  • Shelburne Golf & Country Club
  • Woodington Lake Golf Club

Five of the top courses in southwestern Ontario have banded together once again to create the Headwaters Golf Trail.

While many golfers drive to the region to play one course at a time, the Headwaters Golf Trail gives golfers a compelling reason to come back again and again during the course of the season: play each course once during the 2009 golf season, and once you've played them all, we'll invite you to come back to play each course again - FOR FREE!

Simply pick up your Passport at any participating Golf Trail course, have your Passport validated after paying for your green fee, and once you've had your Passport validated at all five courses, you'll receive your next five rounds (one at each Trail course) for free!

Golf in the Hills of Headwaters - it doesn't get much better than this - unless you get to play again for FREE - and you can with the Headwaters Golf Trail Passport!

Pick up your free Headwaters Golf Trail Passport at any participating course beginning Friday, May 15th.

Spring Awakenings at the Alton Mill!

Solo exhibit by internationally renowned Israeli sculptor
Yael Erlichman at the Alton Mill

The Alton Mill is pleased to announce a sculpture show featuring the work of internationally renowned Israeli sculptor Yael Erlichman. Erlichman’s work can be found in corporate and private collections worldwide, and has been exhibited most recently in New York, in the Netherlands and in her homeland of Israel.

Erlichman’s creative process includes producing bronze castings in a foundry in the Jerusalem hills and then polishing and burnishing each individual sculpture with its unique personality. Erlichman’s sculptures find great aesthetic value in the most common human form. Making use of extraordinary technical skill and with an eye for vivid details, she imbues her inanimate bronze figures with profound emotion, humour and energy, which serve as a tribute to human nature and human optimism.

Erlichman’s sculptures will be on exhibit at the Alton Mill until May 31, 2009.
