Spring is all about renewal here in the Hills of Headwaters! Our rivers are flowing and fishing season is just around the corner. Many golf courses are already open and the local farmers' markets will soon follow.

You can find inspiration for updating your home with a visit to a local art studio, home décor shop or garden centre. Makeovers of a more personal nature are available at one of the region’s unique spas or fashion boutiques.

Treat yourself and someone special to a dramatic theatrical or musical performance or a quiet brunch.

Spring Garden Lunch and Silent Auction

Spring Garden Lunch and Silent Auction – Sunday April 19, 2009

Guests will enjoy a delicious lunch catered by The White Truffle Restaurant, bid on numerous great items displayed at silent auction tables. And, enjoy a fun presentation from Sonia Day – gardener and writer with Canadian Gardening Magazine. Held at Monora Park Pavilion, background music is courtesy of Harmonious Creations. Each guest will receive a $25 gift certificate from The Bevelled Edge Gallery.

The proceeds from this very important fundraising event will go towards the care of the stray, abandoned and neglected animals that we give a temporary home to. Our fund raising events and donations ensure that we provide the best care to animals at the shelter and allow us to support the cruelty investigations and emergency services throughout Dufferin County.

Walk-a-thon to support the Orangeville and District Branch
Sunday May 3, 2009

The Ontario SPCA Orangeville and District Branch invites you to show your support for our fabulous furry friends while having a good time at our 2009 Ontario SPCA Friends for Life! Walk-a-thon, being held Sunday, May 3, at the Alder Street Recreation Centre. Put your best paws forward and have fun walking the 5km route on the Orangeville Trailways.

The Walk-a-thon will include Tim Hortons coffee at registration, Toppers Pizza lunch. After the walk there will be pet nail clipping for a $5.00 donation, pet portraits by photographer Paul George for a donation of $15.00, the fun dog contests with prizes awarded to the winners. Please help the animals in our community by joining us at the Orangeville and District Branch 2007 Ontario SPCA Friends for Life! Walk-a-thon.
