Murder on the Headwaters Express!
A Murder Mystery Dinner Tour aboard the Credit Valley Explorer Tour Train
Where will the murder take place? Will the train be stopped while crossing the harrowing trestle at the Forks of the Credit in order to remove a body from the track? And who dunnit? Guests will be participants in the unravelling of the Murder on the Headwaters Express from the moment they board the train until the intriguing conclusion.
The event, hosted by the Hills of Headwaters Tourism Association, boards at 5:00 pm in Orangeville and includes a four-hour scenic tour aboard the Credit Valley Explorer, a fabulous three-course dinner with choice of entree, cash bar and a lethal dose of suspense and intrigue. In the spirit of the event, guests are being asked to come dressed in roaring twenties attire!
Known for its rolling hills and unsurpassed fall colours, the Hills of Headwaters region provides a spectacular backdrop for this unique autumn event. Passengers will enjoy assigned first-class seating and large picture windows all in a comfortable climate-controlled environment.

Discover Broadway Harvest Celebration
Saturday, October 25th ~ 12pm to 4pm
Downtown Orangeville is celebrating autumn with a family fun day on Saturday, October 25th.
Enjoy a “Taste of Broadway” with samplings and demonstrations at selected stores, restaurants and cafes and then wander over to Second Street and discover the seasonal delights from our Market on Broadway merchants.
Ghosts, goblins and other spooky characters are invited take part in children’s trick or treating from 1pm to 3pm, enjoy a pony ride and the petting zoo, face painting by the Perfectly Pampered Prince & Princess, story time entertainment with Daisy the Witch at 1:30 pm at the Library statue, check out our elementary school scarecrow contest or enjoy the crafts in Alexandra Park.
Take part in our Ghost Hunt on Mill Street and join Heritage Orangeville for a Haunted Walk of downtown Orangeville at 3:00 pm.

Arthur Paul Boers, a Mennonite minister and Benedictine oblate, is coming to Knox Presbyterian Church in the Hamlet of Dunedin to oversee a day and a half retreat centered around the writing in his wonderful book “The Way is Made by Walking: A Pilgrimage Along the Camino de Santiago.'
In response to our often hectic lives, Boers will point us towards the wonder and meaning of life as he engages us in simple practices that reconnect us with others, with creation and with the divine. Join us as we gather with this humble and gifted teacher in a community of spiritual hospitality. Thursday evening: supper, musical reflection, and teaching. Friday: walking meditation, breakfast, morning workshop, lunch, afternoon hike/walk, closing meditation, afternoon tea. Delicious locally grown healthy fare. $40.
