SummerFeast

The countdown is on for the start of the 3rd annual SummerFeast:
A Culinary Experience in the Hills of Headwaters

Starting Monday, August 11th, thirteen (13) of the region’s finest restaurants will band together – in partnership with The Hills of Headwaters Tourism Association – to offer special menus of their extraordinary cuisine at very affordable prices.

Each SummerFeast restaurant will offer a Dinner menu, and in many cases both a Lunch and a Dinner menu, at "prix fixe" rates of either $15 or $20 for Lunch and either $25 or $35 for Dinner. Each menu includes at least 3-courses, making it an excellent value at any of these fine restaurants.

Doors Open in the Hills of Headwaters

Explore regional heritage at DOORS OPEN IN THE HILLS!

On Saturday, August 16th and Sunday, August 17th the Hills of Headwaters will be participating in the provincial Doors Open program. Visitors and residents are invited to explore the Hills of Headwaters, a sophisticated rural destination, just steps outside Toronto’s back door, as part of our Doors Open in the Hills event.

The Hills of Headwaters has chosen 17 sites that will provide visitors with a unique history of the region. From the heritage homes of our founding fathers, to the places of worship that were central in the small towns, to places of business that have been a vital part of our communities’ history for generations, Doors Open in the Hills of Headwaters offers something for everyone.

Like all Doors Open events across the province, admittance to all sites is FREE. Come and experience these “hidden heritage treasures” at Doors Open in the Hills of Headwaters.

The Hills of Headwaters, a 4000 square kilometre region of scenic countryside, is the heart of one of the most concentrated equestrian areas in the province of Ontario. It is here you will find some of the country’s premiere breeding farms, coaching and training facilities, riding schools, boarding stables, ranches, suppliers and special events.

The inaugural Hills of Headwaters Stable Tour will showcase the excitement and spirit of equine sport in the Hills of Headwaters region. For the very first time visitors and residents will be provided with a unique, behind-the-scenes opportunity to meet the heroes (2 and 4-legged) of various equine disciplines. The Headwaters Stable Tour will be showcasing some of the finest stables in southern Ontario’s horse country — the Town of Caledon, the Town of Erin and the County of Dufferin.

Enjoy exclusive tours behind the gates of some of the region’s finest farms and stables: demonstrations, exhibits, tours & more.

Discover Broadway on Saturdays during the month of August for SATURDAYS IN THE PARK. Enjoy the morning at the Market on Broadway, mingling with friends and merchants and picking up some farm fresh produce, freshly baked bread and treats, or some delicious, locally-made cheese. Afterwards, stroll over to Alexandra Park, spread your blanket under a tree and enjoy a picnic lunch while watching some wonderful entertainment.
