Spring has sprung in the Hills of Headwaters!
The rolling hills and valleys are now a rich, lush green and the roadsides are lined with lilacs and apple blossoms. And if these signs aren’t enough to tell you spring has arrived in the Hills of Headwaters, the golfers you see out on the fairways are final confirmation! Back for it’s fourth season, the Headwaters Golf Trail, one of Ontario’s premier golf trails, offers golfers the chance to play six of the region’s premier courses for a special discounted rate. The farmers fields have all been freshly planted and at the Market on Broadway and other area farmers’ markets you’ll be able to purchase local produce, all Grown in the Hills. Tour the region and enjoy some Family Fun, experience A Definitive Country Retreat or partake in some Artful Pleasures. Come for the day, or make it an overnight getaway! Our accommodation hosts eagerly await your visit.

We are bringing Cynthia Renee Zava to our jewellery gallery for two private shows, Friday June 20th and Saturday June 21st from 7pm to 9pm.
Imagine yourself at a fine dinner party set in the middle of our beautiful jewellery gallery. Wine and hors d'oeuvres to start, relaxed conversation between guests and then the main course - Zava Master Cut Gemstones – Cynthia Renee Zava will present the gems to all around the table. While you are holding, examining each gem, she is giving us information on the gemstones and we are talking about the design possibilities of each one that interests you. The Historic Alton Mill - An Arts & Heritage Gem
The Alton Mill, a wonderful 19th century stone mill complex in the scenic Caledon Hills, is a rare example of a heritage preservation project that is bringing together the arts and heritage communities to create a unique arts-related tourist attraction.
Phase 1 studios and galleries within the 23,000 s.f. main mill building are already open and work is in full swing on the balance of the building. Projected occupancy for Phase 2 is fall 2008. Individual and collective studio spaces ranging from 250 s.f. to 1,100 s.f. are available for lease.
The owner of the Alton Mill is actively seeking individual gallery operators, artists, artist collectives, creative professionals and specialty retailers to take space in the next phase. This includes finding an individual or collective of artisan blacksmiths, glass artists and potters to be prominently located in the historic Livery outbuilding, the original stable and carriage house overlooking Shaw’s Creek. These workshops could range in size from 450 s.f. to 1,500 s.f. and would be served with natural gas heating, electrical and water services.
To arrange a tour of the mill, contact Headwaters Arts at (519) 943-1149 or 1-877-262-0545 or leasing@altonmill.ca.
