On Saturday, May 5th and Sunday, May 6th the Hills of Headwaters will be participating in the provincial Doors Open program. Visitors and residents are invited to explore this sophisticated rural destination, just steps outside Toronto’s back door and discover 20 unique heritage sites that depict the history of this picturesque region of the province.
The Hills of Headwaters has chosen 20 sites that will provide visitors with a unique look at the history of the region. From the heritage homes of our founding fathers, to the places of worship that were central in the small towns, to natural heritage sites, parks and trails, the Hills of Headwaters Doors Open program will offer something for everyone. Special activities will be taking place at certain sites, including free double decker bus rides, sightseeing flights, historic printing demonstrations, guided walking tours and so much more.
Like all Doors Open events across the province, admittance to all sites is FREE. Come and experience these “hidden heritage treasures” first-hand at Doors Open in the Hills of Headwaters on Saturday, May 5th and Sunday, May 6th from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm each day. Phone: 519-942-0314

Free Double Decker Bus Tours of Downtown Orangeville
Saturday, May 5th & Sunday, May 6th
Downtown Orangeville is delighted to be participating in the Hills of Headwaters Doors Open program on Saturday, May 5th and Sunday, May 6th from 10:00am to 4:00pm each day.
As part of this event, Downtown Orangeville will be providing FREE double-decker bus tours of the Downtown area and the immediate outskirts, focusing on the Art Walk of Tree Sculptures, and highlighting buildings and sites of an historical significance along the way. Visitors will also be able to enjoy self-guided historic pictorial walking tours of the area, with brochures available for their individual use.
We invite you to visit Downtown Orangeville, stroll along our heritage streets, and discover for yourself why Downtown Orangeville is the heart of the Hills of Headwaters.

Walk-a-thon.
The Ontario SPCA Orangeville and District Branch invites you to show your support for our fabulous furry friends while having a good time at our 2007 Ontario SPCA Friends for Life! Walk-a-thon, being held Sunday, May 6, at the Alder Street Recreation Centre. Put your best paws forward and have fun walking the 5km route on the Orangeville Trailways.
The Walk-a-thon will include Tim Hortons coffee at registration, lunch for participants, pet nail clipping for a $5.00 donation, pet portraits by photographer Paul George for a donation of $15.00, the fun dog contests with prizes awarded to the winners. There are great prizes for different pledge levels.
