Discover Headwaters

Summer is a season of Doing

Pack up the family for an overnight camping trip, or a mini-vacation at a country inn, resort or B&B. Enjoy a round of golf, hike or bike along the trails, or cast your line for a little fishing excursion. Bring your clubs…play each of the five courses on the Headwaters Golf Trail and we'll invite you back for a FREE round at the five participating courses!

Wander the back roads… let villages surprise you with jumbled general stores and freezers full of things for dinner… with artists’ studios… church suppers and summer concerts. Our chefs have prepared special menus of their extraordinary cuisine at very affordable prices for SummerFeast - on until Friday September 3rd.

Be sure to mark your calendar for Destination Equitation on September 11th to 18th, for a week long celebration of equestrian excellence in the Hills of Headwaters.

Mrs. Mitchell's Restaurant

Heritage Profile: Mrs. Mitchell's Restaurant
The 2009 Restaurant of the Year was awarded to Mrs. Mitchell's Restaurant housed in an 1889 one-room schoolhouse, is a historical landmark in the hamlet of Violet Hill in Mulmur. Set amongst beautifully tended gardens where many a bride and groom have posed with keepsake photos of loved ones, Mrs. Mitchell's has Colonial Williamsburg flair. Celebrating the spirit of Christmas Yuletide around the open fireplace is an annual pilgrimage for many loyal regular diners.
