Headwaters Orangeville is an 87 bed acute and complex continuing care hospital offering Emergency Department, Day Surgery, Chronic Disease Management, Obstetrics, Paediatrics, Palliative Care and Out-Patient Treatment. Headwaters Shelburne site offers X-ray and out-patient diabetes education and speech-language pathology by appointment.
Hospital Auxiliary
Volunteers are involved in many ways with Headwaters Health Care Centre including the Auxiliary, Headwaters Health Care Foundation Board and committees, Pastoral care, Friends of Headwaters (garden volunteers) and the Hospital Board. Whether its dollars they raise for new equipment or the thousands of hours they give of their time, their work is extraordinary. Headwaters Health Care Foundation
Thousands of people in our community turn to Headwaters Health Care Centre for their medical care. But because the government does not provide funding for the purchase of equipment, financial support from donors fuels every hospital equipment purchase, which allows our medical staff to provide high quality care using state-of-the-art technology and resources. Each year the Foundation raises over $1.5 million towards the purchase of much needed medical equipment. This would not be possible without the volunteer and financial commitment of so many in our community.
