Located just 45 minutes north of Toronto lies the scenic Hills of
Headwaters region – home to a vibrant and inspired arts community!
Known for rolling hills, deep valleys, spectacular fall colours and
the unique headwaters of four major river systems, it seems our
exciting landscape has stirred the artist soul.
In the Hills of Headwaters there are over 200 artists working in
every media imaginable. Painters, potters, glassblowers, woodcarvers,
weavers, sculptors and jewellers all create here – in styles that range
from classical to contemporary to avant-garde!

The Hills of Headwaters tourism region will be participating in the Province of Ontario's Doors Open program for the fourth consecutive year.
Heritage Comes Alive on Saturday, July 10th 2010
On Saturday, July 10th, visitors and residents are invited to explore this sophisticated rural destination, just steps outside Toronto¹s back door and discover 24 unique heritage sites that depict the history of this picturesque region of the province.

Golf in the Hills
Step outside Toronto's back door and discover Golf in the Hills!
Just a short hour’s drive north of Toronto, you’ll find the Niagara Escarpment’s undulating terrain creates challenges for golfers at all levels. The varying elevations and spectacular views are typical of the courses of The Hills of Headwaters. Five of the region’s premier courses have joined together to create a unique Gift Pack to explore the Headwaters Golf Trail in 2010.

The Hills of Headwaters, just steps outside Toronto’s back door, is replete with some truly wonderful places to visit – settlements such as Erin, Hockley Village, Belfountain, Shelburne, Bolton and Orangeville boast some fabulous events, things to see and people to meet. The routes to them all are well maintained and easy to find. And the fall colours that provide the backdrop are indeed spectacular. With our many country roads and the rolling terrain provided by the Niagara Escarpment any back-road route will deliver an impressive fall show.

Join us for the 2010 Headwaters Stable Tour on the weekend of September 18th and 19th, 2010 where you can experience first-hand the excitement and spirit of equine sport in the Hills of Headwaters, and get an inside look at some of the finest stables in the region. The Hills of Headwaters, a 4000 square kilometre region of scenic countryside, is the heart of one of the most concentrated equestrian areas in the province of Ontario.

SummerFeast
SummerFeast 2010 August 16 to September 3
Perhaps one of the best-kept ‘secrets’ of the Hills of Headwaters region is the brilliance of the cuisine available at some of the area’s finer establishments – many of which rival or exceed the quality and service one would experience in Toronto’s top restaurants.
To showcase the high-calibre culinary prowess found throughout this region, we are pleased to offer SummerFeast; a special culinary event in which participating restaurants offer fantastic gourmet menus at reduced prices.

WinterFeast
February 16th to March 5th
Mark your calendars. This annual culinary event showcases the high-calibre of culinary prowess that permeates the Hills of Headwaters region. Each WinterFeast restaurant offers a Dinner menu, and in many cases both a Lunch and a Dinner menu, at "prix fixe" rates of either $15 or $20 for Lunch and either $25 or $35 for Dinner. Each menu includes at least 3-courses, making it an excellent value at any of these fine restaurants.
