Tom sees the inner beauty of wood
and creates a unique piece of art that
is both decorative and functional. In a sense, he gives second life to
the tree. He uses mostly local wood, but also
some rare exotic species.

Location 1 -Jean Loney Stained Glass Mosaics
Infusing the ancient art of mosaics with a modern perspective, Jean’s works play with light. She uses stained and tempered glass, tile, pebbles, and shells to bring colour and texture to life. This year there will be examples of work using Italian smalti.

Location 1 - Anne Smith Textile Artist
Anne creates unique art quilts, wallhangings, framed and 3-D pieces, and purses with textiles, fibres and thread as her medium. She uses a variety of techniques and embellishments to create texture and interest. The finished products take the form of landscapes, abstracts or crazy piecing.

At Turn-of-Fate Studio Jennifer works to expose the hidden beauty within locally gathered wood. The featured Force of Nature, Squatter's Rights and Shadow series mimic nature's delicate contours and unpredictable power. Turning and decorating demonstrations will run throughout the day.

Acrylic Painting
Nancy started painting with watercolours 30 years ago. Her husband's talent for gardening always gave her beautiful florals to paint. Over the years, she has expanded to acrylic for landscapes and houses. When painting, it takes her to another world and she is able to express herself without any inhibitions. Details have always been an attraction for her.

Location 2 - Monica O'Halloran-Schut Guest of Turn-of-Fate Studio
Sculptor
Clear night skies allow us to view a
myriad of twinkling stars, holding us captive. Planets in their
courses above raise questions in our hearts. Following her love of astronomy, Monica
has designed a new line of jewellery, ‘d:IV’. The collection in
99.9% pure silver, copper and bronze is created based on authentic
NASA sky mapping.

Susan's watercolour/pencil drawings visually take you into a rural landscape and on to Everdale Organic Farm & Environmental Learning Centre in Hillsburgh, to experience a full season of growing and harvesting as seen through the eyes of the artist and CSA member.

Annette welcomes you to her 1881 Victorian farmhouse to view her recent series of paintings, drawings and assemblages which explore the figurative and powerful nature of the common hydro tower, which looms silently amidst our urban and rural landscapes. Previous series of paintings featuring local rural scenes, architectural facades and mannequin portraits will also be featured.

Norman's artistic and skilful
manipulation of sterling silver has inspired him to create a broad
variety of stunning, sculptural and one of a kind pieces of
jewellery. Techniques include reticulation, mogame, rolling mill
transfers and the use of found objects. Many pieces incorporate
semi-precious stones such as amber, turquoise, lapis lazuli and fire
opals.

Silvia's sculptural pieces evoke the spirit of ancient eras and natural realms. To achieve this, she uses a combination of cold working and copper electroplanting processes on blown glass vessels.
