With her gumboots as her passport and her oil pastels and drawing board under her arm, Hallie Watson has been roaming the forests, fields and streams of Mono making vibrant, colourful oil pastel landscapes.Peppered throughout the show are stories telling about her ‘hybrid’ city/country childhood in Mono and her adult observations of country life now.This show reveals the depth of love and quiet loyalty that she nurtures for the lines and side roads that outline the places she loves.“My parents bought Bobbie Holmes’ place on the 25th Sideroad, Mono when I was five.
