Dragonfly Festival at Dragonfly Arts on Broadway!
Enjoy browsing through the unique and creative work by artisans and visual artists, with a focus on The Myths and Mysterys of the Dragonfly. Resident artists will be in attendance throughout the Festival weekend doing live demos and working in their studios.
Dragonfly's "Window on Broadway"
Dragonfly Arts "Window on Broadway" has been an exciting opportunity for area Artists and Artisans to showcase their work.
Local Chiropractors have noticed an increase in neck injuries lately from motorists craning their necks to see the latest windows at Dragonfly. The large storefront windows at Dragonfly provide a unique show space for a larger body of work than can be accomodated inside the shop.
The window has been very popular with artists, and many have already taken advantage of the exposure it provides. Linda Jenetti, Trine Jensen, Pete Herlihy, and Brenda Koechlin have all shown their work. A selection of Roslyn Levine's award-winning Sumi-e paintings came to the window fresh from the awards show.
Resident artists, Jean Hardy, Jill Pringle, Sue Powell, and Sharon Wadsworth-Smith from Dragonfly Resident Artists hold group shows in the window regularly. The window will also feature bead work from the new dynamic shop in the back, "Beads on Broadway". Watch for exciting events and live artist demos to celebrate the seasons.
