Bev Hughes – Keynote Speaker, Destination Development Conference

Seeing the need to make destinations better, Bev founded BC Hughes Tourism Consulting after working for one of the world’s best destination developers – Intrawest. Realizing that small communities or attractions can’t afford a multi-million-dollar makeover, Bev works to find solutions that work from the ground up.  A business grad, Bev achieved her designation as a Chartered Accountant before making the switch to tourism – a much more exciting industry. A strategic thinker, Bev always looks at projects from the feasibility perspective, a very skilled resource to have on any team.

Since founding the company, Bev has been joined by her husband Chris Hughes.  Their unconventional boutique consulting firm is currently working all across Ontario for several of the new regional tourism organizations, private businesses and is also the project manager for 2 of the Province’s iconic touring routes: Georgian Bay Coastal Route & Ride Lake Superior Motorcycle Route.  Their mandate is simple:  Develop destinations that stand out from the competition and offer visitors a truly exciting experience.
