Student Art Show.....A Great Success!... Big Plans being developed for a December Show
The Bevelled Edge Art School - Student Show......A Great Success! The recent Student Show at The Bevelled Edge Gallery was a huge success. The gallery showcased the talents of the "Young Picassos" (students 8-12 years old) several of their Fine Art students from their kids art classes. The display featured diverse styles with the media ranging from watercolour, oil, acrylic, pastel and more. Artist and teacher Jill Pringle was on hand much to the delight of many of the patrons. "This was our first student show and we are very pleased with the results," explained Michael Strachan, Project Manager for The Bevelled Edge. "Our students look forward to each week of classes, they enjoy learning new techniques and ideas and meeting new people in a fun and artistic atmosphere. This open house was a well deserved day of recognition for all of their hard work and we look forward to many more in the future" The Bevelled Edge Art School will showcase the art created by current students in the Young Artists program in a special exhibit being planned for December. "Each student will have two of their renderings framed and on display during the show," says Michael Strachan, of The Bevelled Edge Gallery. "With almost 30 students this will provide a great exhibit of almost 60 pieces of fine art proudly created by these budding artists! The show will be complimented with a classical guitarist and food and beverages to create a fabulous show. Local media will be invited to attend as well as all members of the community.
