Lampwork or torchwork beads are handmade glass beads created in a very hot flame by melting colourful rods of glass, shaping and decorating them and then popping them into a kiln to cool slowly (annealing).

Beth's hand made glass beads are used in specialy gift items such as wine stoppers, bookmarks, magnifying glasses, pens and letter openers, key rings, pate knives and forks, cheese knives and a wonderful salad serving set. The salad servers make an original wedding gift when paired with a hand-crafted pottery or wooden bowl from DRAGONFLY! Just arrived are a cake serving set and a cute little jelly spoon...
Beth's handmade glass beads are also used to create sparkling sterling silver bracelets, necklaces and earrings.
Favourites bead collections include Northern Lights, Echo Beach, Fireweed, Arctic Blues, Tropical Storm and Spring Fever. Now at Dragonfly is the Spa Stones collection inspired by a recent canoe trip on the Horton River in the N.W.T.. Simple warm pastel colours etched to recreate the magic of a gravel beach along the river. Another canoe trip-inspired collection is Flora, an unpredictable mixture of mauves, pinks and deep blues representative of the colourful assortment of flowers along the Horton River.
